Top 5 Beginner Enthusiasts Cameras

So I thought, who would be looking at this blog the most, you beginner enthusiasts! So I have made a list of cameras you can splash your well earned cash on:

5. Sony Alpha A290

The Sony Alpha A290 is probably the cheapest DSLR available with a lens of 18-55mm included (well in the UK at least). The price is £284 or $399 as of 29th of December 2010 based on Amazon.com, .co.uk prices.

4. Nikon D5000

Nikon, obviously isn't the cheapest brand you will find but Nikon are known for their quality and are, along with Canon, the No1 choice for professional photographers. This camera, with an 18-55mm lens is priced at $629 or £479 as of 29th of December 2010 based on Amazon.com, .co.uk prices.

From a distance this camera looks like a dSLR, actually, you wouldn't be able to see it from a distance but it isn't a dSLR. It is a bridge, or superzoom camera with 14mp and an 18X zoom. The price is £167 or $199 as of 29th of December 2010 based on Amazon.com, .co.uk prices so it shouldn't burn much of a hole in your pocket.

This Canon EOS 500D comes with an 18-55mm lens and has much the same features as the Nikon although it is slightly more expensive in the US. The prices are £475 or $649 as of 29th of December 2010 based on Amazon.com, .co.uk prices

This is my number one choice for beginner photographers on a budget. Featuring a whopping 30x zoom, 10 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, manual zoom and manual focusing including many dSLR like features it's a great buy. The price isn't bad either at £254 (I got mine not long ago for £239) or $339 as of 29th of December 2010 based on Amazon.com, .co.uk prices

Alternative:

An alternative to this camera would be the Fujifilm Finepix S200EXR, featuring a 12 megapixel Super CCD sensor, 14x zoom, EXR technology and much the same features as the HS10 it too is a great buy although slightly pricier at $350 or £284 and lacking the full HD video capability of the HS10 (this only records in VGA quality) .

I hope this guide helped you!

4 of the Best Photography Gadgets of 2010

Looking for a bit of photography gadge to splash your christmas cash on, check these out!

The new Photojojo cell phone lens, a magnetic lens for your camera phone available as Fisheye, Macro and Wide Angle!

What if there is no one around to take that awesome picture of you, well how about this gadget, the Pocket XSHOT, an extendable arm for your camera!

Now onto two gadgety cameras:

What about the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj - no that isn't a second lense, it's a pico projector!

if that's not your taste, try this flashy (haha get it :/) camera:

It's probably the most talked about Fuji camera ever, the Fujifilm Finepix HS10, there are multiple gadgets packed inside the entry dSLR style camera, one of them being, anything that moves in the photo is removed but the gadget we are talking about here is the sweep panorama, basically you just sweep the camer from left to righ, up to down etc and it stitches three photos together to make a whopping 21 megapixel panorama, in camera!

Photography Gadget: B-Grip

By Oliver Wade ( oliverwade.com)

Just thought I'd show you a cool bit of camera tech to splash your money on, the recently released b-grip, allowing you to attach any camera with a tripod screw mount to your hip!

The unique feature of the b-grip is that it can be attached to virtually any strap. So if your backpack has a chest strap, you can fix the holster to that, too. Also, it allows users to affix the shooter either lens down or facing outward. A supplied rain cover protects the camera if you're using it in wet environments.

However, we wonder how will it feel to have a pro dSLR such as the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV or even a heavier bridge camera like the Fujifilm Finepix HS10 or HS11 in some countries tugging at your hips. Also to be noted is that the b-grip is made of plastic, so it's not as tough as the Spider Holster, which is constructed from metal.

Anyway, we added a little demo below:
